AT&T Newton Supply Chain Management
The AT&T Newton Supply Chain Management Application is designed to efficiently manage AT&T’s fleet, operators, and assets, ensuring the smooth operation of its extensive supply chain. By integrating suppliers and customers into a unified system, the application optimizes the flow of information and goods, creating significant value for the organization.
Following AT&T’s acquisition of DIRECTV, the company faced the challenge of managing a vastly expanded supply chain. The integration required a robust solution that could handle the increased complexity of operations across multiple sites while maintaining high standards of efficiency and reliability. The project aimed to redesign AT&T’s supply chain management system to accommodate this growth and ensure seamless integration of new services.
Our approach was centered around you, the user. We developed a repeatable design and user-experience strategy that could be applied across the Supply Chain Management platform. We prioritized user-centered design, incorporating user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to ensure the system met your needs while supporting business objectives.
We left no stone unturned in establishing critical success factors for website organization, experience architecture, navigation, functionality, and visual design. A comprehensive analysis of infrastructure and system requirements was conducted to establish an enterprise-level Supply Chain Management environment with the necessary security, capacity, and operational readiness, instilling confidence in the robustness of the system.
The solution included developing a platform-as-a-service model to support the creation and configuration of future web properties within the Supply Chain Management system. We designed and implemented a data warehouse to capture and retain IoT and manufacturing data to enable high-level analytics and machine learning. This data platform now supports advanced predictive modeling and analytics.
By leveraging Microsoft Azure, we built data pipelines to process near real-time data from devices, providing AT&T with a competitive advantage in managing its supply chain. The system streamlines communication and the flow of goods across the supply chain network, solidifying AT&T’s position as a leader in supply chain management.
